Position Available: Automation Business Development Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Automation Business Development Manager
to lead growth initiatives for our oilfield automation product lines. This role focuses on
expanding market presence, building strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue
through the sale of advanced automation, valve control, and well management solutions.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the oil and gas sector, technical
understanding of automation systems, and a proven track record of business development
in energy or industrial markets.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities with upstream oil and gas
operators and other qualified opportunities, producers, and service companies
focused on automation, wellhead, and sand management needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including
engineering, operations, and procurement teams.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for
automation solutions, including control systems, valve automation, remote
monitoring, and integrated wellhead technologies.
• Collaborate with the technical and project development teams to customize
proposals, demonstrations, and pilots that address customer pain points (e.g., sand
management, safety, eƯiciency, and cost reduction).
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive positioning,
and emerging opportunities in oilfield automation.
• Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, needs assessment, solution presentation,
negotiation, closing, and post-sale relationship management.
• Represent SandPro at industry events, trade shows, and customer sites, delivering
compelling presentations on our automation capabilities.
• Work closely with internal teams (engineering, operations, and leadership) to
ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Job Descriptions

• Track and report on sales pipeline, forecasts, and key performance metrics.
• Stay current on industry regulations, technologies, and best practices in oilfield
automation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of business development, sales, or account management
experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong preference for automation,
instrumentation, controls, or wellhead technologies.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with oilfield automation systems, SCADA, PLCs,
valve actuation, remote monitoring, and sand management solutions is highly
desirable.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Petroleum Technology, or a
related field (or equivalent industry experience).

• Skills:
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a technical B2B
environment.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to travel extensively (up to 50-70%) across operating basins.
• Other: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record and successfully pass preemployment drug/alcohol screening
