Job Summary: 

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing inventory transactions, scheduling deliveries, coordinating with suppliers, and implementing best practices to support company operations and meet customer demand. The Inventory Coordinator will work directly under an Inventory Manager and collaborate with shop, field, sales, and admin groups to ensure prompt execution of goals and objectives.

  • $18-$23 per hour depending on experience. 
  • Schedule Flexible, Overtime Expected 

Key Responsibilities: 

Inventory Management: 

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and sales demands. 
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure the accuracy of stock records. 
  • Implement and manage inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses. 

Order Processing: 

  • Place purchase orders with suppliers based on inventory levels and forecasts.
  • Track shipments and manage the receiving process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve any issues related to orders, such as delays or incorrect shipments. 

Data Analysis: 

  • Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Prepare and present regular inventory reports, including stock levels, turnover rates, and discrepancies.
  • Use data insights to recommend inventory adjustments and process improvements. 

Quality Control: 

  • Inspect inventory upon receipt for quality and accuracy, and address any discrepancies.
  • Manage returns and exchanges of inventory items as needed. 
  • Coordination and Communication: 
  • Collaborate with sales, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth inventory operations. 
  • Communicate inventory status and potential issues to relevant departments and management. 

Compliance and Documentation: 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management. 
  • Follow processes to maintain material and production certificates on goods received. 

Qualifications: 

  • Education:  High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in inventory management or a related field is advantageous.

Skills: 

  • Proficiency with computer work i.e. Excel, Word, Etc. (inventory management software and systems is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move inventory items as needed; ability to work in a warehouse environment. 

Working Conditions: 

  • Office and warehouse environments, with occasional visits to supplier facilities.
  • Will require occasional overtime or weekend work based on inventory needs.
