We are excited and deeply honored to announce that SandPro has been named the 2024 North Dakota Petroleum Council (NDPC) Member of the Year! This new award recognizes our active involvement in the NDPC, our support of the North Dakota Petroleum Foundation, and our strong commitment to the communities where we live and work.
Based in Berthold, ND, near Minot, SandPro has always focused on delivering excellence in wellhead services, sand management, and oilfield automation across the Bakken region. Since our founding, we have been committed not just to providing high-quality services, but also to making meaningful contributions to the oil and gas industry and to our community. With around 75 employees, we are proud of the family-oriented culture we’ve built here at SandPro.
Engaged in the NDPC and Industry Leadership
Since becoming members of the North Dakota Petroleum Council in 2020, we have taken an active role in supporting the NDPC’s mission. Our CEO, Jake Feil, has been part of the NDPC Technical Solutions Group, helping to tackle some of the industry’s biggest challenges. Josh Blackaby, our VP and Co-Founder, serves as an NDPC board member and is involved in both the Safety Committee and the ONE BASIN-One Way! Advisory Committee. He also contributes his expertise to the North Dakota State Chamber Board of Directors.
We are incredibly proud to be part of such vital efforts within the industry, and we look forward to continuing to play a role in driving innovation and collaboration within the NDPC.
Community-Centered Culture
At SandPro, we believe that a strong business is built on strong community values. This belief is reflected in everything we do, from participating in events like the Minot State Fair Parade, to supporting local youth sports teams, to sponsoring wildlife organizations. Our team is committed to giving back, and we are grateful to have opportunities to contribute at all levels.
One of our most rewarding experiences this past year was participating in the Bakken GROW (Global Recruitment of Oilfield Workers) program. As one of the first pilot employers, we welcomed Ukrainian workers to our team, with the help of our HR Director, Heather Allard-Kotaska, who worked tirelessly to ensure they felt at home and supported.
Supporting Industry and Community Events
Our involvement doesn’t stop there. SandPro is proud to be a part of many industry and community events across North Dakota. Whether it’s volunteering at the STEM Expo, taking part in Bakken Rocks CookFest, or participating in the Planting for the Future tree-planting initiative, we are always eager to lend a hand.
This past year, we had the privilege of sponsoring and hosting hospitality tents at golf tournaments, including being a hole sponsor at the ND Oil PAC Golf Tournament in Medora. We also played a significant role in organizing the 2024 Bakken BagFest through the efforts of our Marketing Director, Sara Lockrem, which raised funds for Companions for Children and the Bakken API Chamber Scholarship Fund.
As a Premier Partner of the NDPC for the past three years, we have taken every opportunity to support the organization. We were proud to be Diamond Sponsors of the 2024 Williston Basin Petroleum Conference in Bismarck, where we showcased large, engaging trade show booths both inside and outside the venue.
