Valve Technician

Job Description:

SandPro is seeking a skilled and experienced Valve Technician to join our team. The Valve Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of valves used in various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair gate valves.
• Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure valves are operating efficiently and safely.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot valve malfunctions and determine the appropriate course of action for repair.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble valves as needed.
• Perform valve calibration and adjustment to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize tools and equipment such as pressure gauges, torque wrenches, and valve testing devices.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Document work performed, including maintenance activities, repairs, and testing results.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers regarding valve-related issues and solutions.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Valve Technician or similar role in an industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of valve systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as specialized valve maintenance equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
